GreenPak at Earth Garden 2010

This year's edition of the GreenPak Earth Garden festival was held on the 5th and 6th June. This festival has now established itself as the largest green festival on the island. For this fourth edition, the focus was placed on electronic waste. Visitors were encouraged to bring along small items of electronic waste to GreenPak’s WEEE Recycle Stand for safe disposal and recycling.

As usual, the public’s response was good and items disposed of, amongst others, included: hairdryers, mobiles, cordless telephones, game consol controllers, portable CD players, electric razors and memory sticks.

GreenPak representatives were on hand to give advice in regard to best practices on the recycling of electronic waste and to hand out information leaflets.

GreenPak also took care of the waste management of the event and provided recycling banks at numerous locations within the grounds.  In the kid’s area, GreenPak’s mascot, Green Gary entertained the younger visitors.
