Since its inception in 2006, GreenPak has striven to encourage and facilitate the public’s participation in recycling practices, distributing free green recycling bags to households whose Local Council forms part of the GreenPak recycling scheme.

IMG 5626 for websiteParticipation in the weekly GreenPak Lottery is open to all residents in Malta and Gozo even if one’s locality is not directly serviced by GreenPak. All one has to do to participate in GreenPak’s campaign “You win… The environment wins” is to deposit recyclable waste in a bring-in-site  in a nearby locality serviced by GreenPak. This is the case of Ms Maureen Delia from Siġġiewi. Although her locality is not serviced by GreenPak, she deposited her recyclable waste in the bins marked with the GreenPak logo in Ħaż-Żebbuġ.

DSC06540There may be a number of reasons why people do not recycle more, but there is an added reason why they should: now it can also be directly beneficial for their own pocket.

GreenPak’s campaign lottery “Tirbah int ... Jirbah l-ambjent” seeks to encourage more residents to recycle their packaging material, by rewarding them for their efforts with a weekly cash prize.
